Sunday Reflections – 05/11/2025

Yesterday, I had a quiet and peaceful Sat., as nothing much bothered my mind or heart. I spent the afternoon gardening—not in a perfect garden, far from it, and not with a perfect raised bed. I rested on my backyard deck, just sat on it with no chair, or cushion. I simply sat—on the wood, in the dust. And none of it bothered me. I looked up at the sky, at the trees nearby and far away. There was an undisturbed peace that stayed with me through the afternoon. I had left my phone inside the house, so I didn’t worry about the time or staying connected to the world. It was just me, the garden, and the tomatoes I tried to plant.

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms…
